• Identification and referral understanding the difficulties in identifying and responding to children and techniques to help with identification.
• Crisis care and protection ensuring the safety and security of the child, making sure their basic needs are met and providing information during the crisis stage.
• Tracing and repatriation determining whether the child should be repatriated home.
• Long-term recovery and reintegration putting in place long-term support and assistance for the child and family.
• Support for carers and practitioners understanding the challenges and support needs of those who care for and work with affected children and families.
